Grapevine Under Glass

Remember that box of grapevine spheres I found at Goodwill? The ones that I had the glass-shattering, ear drum-busting screamin' deal on? Okay, because some of you asked, I will spill the deal...

$5.99...for the whole box.

Yum!

Did you see what I did with three of them in my "What Can You Do with 4 Egg Cups?" post?

Now, what to do with the rest of them?

On a whim, I found a simple...very simple {my favorite!}...project. Enter...the cloche. What doesn't look good under a cloche? Perched on a column base and nestled up to a vintage wooden float (that big cannon ball shaped thing), it makes for a textural display.

Did you see my new bench, too? A TJMaxx find. Love the shapely legs! It is the perfect size for fitting under the antique folding table I use behind the sofa.

Any great deals you've found lately? Leave us all a note so all of us thrifty nesters can express our jealousy and celebrate your bargains with you!

P.S. A bloggy hug goes out to my friend and #1 commenter at WhisperWood Cottage...Deb@Talking Trash! She featured me in her blog post today. Why? It has to do with this blog button at the left. The honor is all mine, Deb! Check out my sassy friend!

  6. I've been lurking for a little while, enjoying your lovely blog. I stopped at a big box store for something else and remembered to check the mis-tint paint section as I left. I was just realizing yesterday I'd like to paint a room one of those aqua/celadon colors of old pottery that I love so much! One gallon of minty blue green interior paint for $5.00! With a rebate for $5.00! So, so happy.

  9. what a good deal. I have been snowed in the last week here in MD, but a couple of weeks ago I got a crib spring for free, yes free. I love those kind of deals. It's hanging on my wall as a memo board. Oh yea I was at a tool auction 2 weeks ago and got a pink tole tray for 1$, there was only guys there none of them was going to buy a pink tray.

Oh yea if you want a real good deal, I'll be doing a giveaway on my 100th post, lots of free stuff.
