Fireplace Makeover: Phase 1 (Demolition)

Pin It
It's been 8 months since we started our fireplace makeover. I am glad to say that there has been significant progress. Let me remind you of what the fireplace looked like before...

BEFORE WE STARTED...

MANTEL REMOVED...

SURROUND GONE AND WALL COMING DOWN...

DRYWALL GONE AND FIREPLACE REMOVED...

That was Phase 1 of the fireplace makeover. Stay tuned all this week as the full transformation is revealed one phase at a time.

READER CUE: {This is the part where you feel suspense and eager anticipation. Then you rush below to comment about how you can't wait to see what it looks like now. Go on. I'll wait...}

  3. Now I'm not a huge rock fan but that wasn't that bad to begin with and I love the arch piece above it. This just means you have something amazing to show us tomorrow right?

  4. I like the before, but the fact that you've taken down the drywall makes me think that maybe you're taking it out of the corner? But since you're a tease, I have to wait to find out if I'm right.

  6. Was that a 1-piece stone surround? It actually looked pretty good! That must mean you're going to knock our socks off with the reveal. Can't wait - and I agree, you're just a tease! :)

    OK... seriously, I am. So either I need a life, or you need to be just a tad less talented in the makeover world.
