6 More Easy Fall Outdoor Entertaining Ideas

You saw the metal screen makeover and you saw the first 4 simple, laid-back, go-with-the-flow, let's-see-what-I-can-find-in-my-garage, WhisperWood Cottage style ways to serve your guests in style. (If not, go check them out!) To keep the outdoor entertaining groove on, here are 6 more ways to surprise your guests at your next event with a mix of vintage, junk, and contemporary finds...

IDEA #5:
Grab that vintage pie safe to serve up dishware and feature your guest of honor.

IDEA #6:
Need some indestructible dishware for your outdoor event? Keep your eyes open for vintage Texas Ware plates and bowls at your local thrift store.

IDEA #7:
Post a photo or photos of your guest of honor or of the entire family. While tape would work, using magnets made from vintage dominoes is even better! They add some unexpected fun and a graphic punch. Plus, they were so easy to make!

IDEA #8:
Break out the croquet set until the snow flies!
The vintage sets in black are my favorite!

IDEA #9:
Some of your younger guests might need help reaching what they need. Provide them with a step up. I've used an antique railroad stool that is heavy duty and ready for service.

IDEA #10:
Add in a couple more candles in wind-proof lanterns.
This pair of lanterns was 75% off last year at Kohl's.

Mix it all together, and what do you have?

An outdoor space ready for entertaining!

I hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend!

  1. I love it all . I don't have any of those neat things in my garage, just a bunch of the DH's tools. Really can't serve on them. Love your ideas. Hugs, Marty

  8. The croquet set is wonderful, I had a set in Fla. Sold it when I moved into a CONDO. THat
I will never do again. CONDO COMANDO's a real
bunch of old gestapo crazies. Now I am in Maine w/ a house built for old age.
