Industrial Chic at WhisperWood Cottage

Pin It

Industrial touches abound at WhisperWood Cottage! Inspired by Margo's Industrial Chic Linky Party going on this weekend, I thought I'd pull together a few photos of all things industrial! :) Above is one of my favorites...the closet door in the master bedroom using a vintage university door and a salvaged barn track and trolley. A matching set is used on the door to the master bath. {SEE ALL MASTER BEDROOM POSTS.}

Above is a metal nautical float we use as a door stop in the master bedroom. In the background, you can see the salvaged storefront doors that are on the second closet in the master bedroom. {SEE ALL MASTER BEDROOM POSTS.}

Our recent guest room makeover added some industrial stools as night stands. The vintage metal greyhound sign ensures sweet industrial dreams. {SEE ALL GUEST BEDROOM POSTS.}

In the living room, metal baskets organize reading materials...

...and a vintage ladder adds height and texture on a center wall in the room.

The kitchen uses a set of industrial stools that mimic those in the guest room. They are the perfect height for the kitchen island! {SEE ALL KITCHEN POSTS.}

Ron is a master of all things DIY, and he is especially clever with lamps made from salvaged engine parts. He has made a collection of great gear-inspired lamps for friends. You can also see the great industrial fan blade in the background. {SEE WHEN RON CREATES POSTS.}

  14. Your home is fabulous. You seem to find all the right accents to add. It is so inspirational. I love to look at what you have done and try to replicate it. Too bad hubby doesn't always understand Industrial Chic. My favorite is your sliding bedroom door. Unfortunately we could not do that in our room because it's too small and we didn't have anywhere for the door to slide.
