Capturing Special Moments with Photo Card Ornaments

I thought I'd surprise my in-laws with a homemade ornament this year. This ornament features two of my photos, which I had previously printed on business cards and which have personal meaning for us and for them.

One side of the ornament is a photo of a wagon wheel that we gifted to my in-laws for their lawn decor a couple years ago.

The other side features a photo of a rusted vintage lawn chair that my mother-in-law stripped and painted last summer. It now is a shiny, bright red!

They loved the personalized and thoughtful nature of this gift. I think it meant more to them than anything I could have purchased. I love being able to use my photography and a few simple DIY products to capture special memories for the special people in our lives!

Have you done any DIY gift projects this season?

  1. What an excellent idea Amy! Your photography as a gift would make anyone happy!

  2. I love the photo tag!! How sweet is that?

  3. Amy, I just wanted to come by and congratulate you on your home being in Cottages and Bungalows!

  4. What a lovely and personal ornament. We don't do gifts over Christmas but I did make all of my new decorations this year myself. I hope to make lots of gifts for the coming year in my Christmas break.
