Make Your Own Linen Chalkboard Tape (& a Save the Date notice)

Have you realized I can't put down the chalkboard paint lately? This Americana Chalkboard Paint from DecoArt is so easy to work with that I almost can't stand it! So far I've done 3 projects that involve chalkboards made from paper! And they've all worked like a charm...
I keep thinking about what else can be turned into a chalkboard! After making my Stenciled Bird Candle Wrap using linen cloth tape last week, I wondered if it could be transformed into a chalkboard as well. Here's how I did it...

SUPPLIES


I started by putting down some craft paper to create a work surface. I then simply cut off a length of linen tape and used a foam brush to apply the paint to the tape.


After it dried, I used the long side of a piece of chalk to prime the surface and then use a rag from the Bag of Rags to wipe off the chalk.
