The FTC requires that bloggers who are compensated for their writing (with money or products) have a disclosure policy. I'm all about honesty and integrity in all things and am committed to blogging with integrity. At WhisperWood Cottage, here is how we roll:
All information on this blog is the property and opinion of the authors. I write about my life experiences, my thoughts, and my opinions. As far as DIY tutorials and projects, I write about the things we do and how we do them, but I do not promote that they are the correct, safe, or recommended ways of doing them. If you are attempting any DIY project, seek assistance from a licensed contractor or trained professional before proceeding. Always work within your skill set and experience.
As an Official DIY Gal, I receive various forms of compensation from sponsors of The DIY Club. I create authentic WhisperWood Cottage projects with sponsor products and provide you with step-by-step tutorials. This allows you to learn how to do the projects yourself and how to use the products supplied by DIY Club sponsors. Please note that tutorials are designed to learn how to use the product and do not constitute a review of the product; however, I will not use products that I don't like and will certainly tell you if I think a product is absolutely wonderful. I periodically receive compensation for ads or links you see on the site (either in the sidebar or in a post). These ads and links relate to the content, style, and creative direction of this blog. There are cases in which I receive compensation based on the number of views, clicks, and purchases associated with ads and links. Rest assured, the ideas, comments, projects, opinions, etc. are all mine. In the future, it would be great to blog John Chow-style! Why? He makes money from every post, every link, every review, every tweet, etc. He even has sponsors for his disclosure statement. Anyone want to sponsor this one?
