SERENDIPITY
The first couple sales were HORRIBLE! Luckily, we were on the east side of town, so we stopped in for respite and renewal at Serendipity! Do you remember Serendipity? I posted about them a few weeks ago. Here are the owners, a mother and daughter team, Shirley and Gayle...
If you remember from my previous post, Serendipity is located in a beautiful old home with high ceilings and beautiful architecture. One of my favorite rooms was the bathroom. The older post shows the tub with a Halloween decor. Here is the tub with the new holiday decor...

Look at this clever use of springs...

ESTATE SALE
After Serendipity, we headed to an "estate" sale. I use the term loosely, because it was more of a garage sale for an estate. No estate sale company was involved, nothing was marked, everything was in disarray, and the poor seller was very indecisive and easily distracted. It was frustrating for the buyers, but I also felt sorry for the guy who was there to sell and settle his grandmother's estate. He was from out of state and alone. Not an envious task, I'm sure.
This was my one and only find for the day...
Carol found these vintage goodies...
CANAL PARK
We met the guys in Canal Park for dinner. We visited the lighthouse and watched for ships near the Aerial Lift Bridge. Super fun!

Looks like you guys had a fun day! I love the laundry hamper your MIL found!!
ReplyDeleteIt's not how many treasures you find, it's the fact you find one!
