T
he holiday season is filled with magic, merriment, wonder, and love. It is the time of year that we focus on sharing our appreciation for our friends and loved ones at gatherings of all kinds. As party hosts and hostesses open their homes, I love (as I'm sure you do) to bring a token of gratitude for the time and effort they put into creating a memorable event.
Some of the holiday cheer I like to gift my host/hostess includes wine or champagne, floral centerpieces, and ornaments. But I like to add an extra special and unexpected touch by presenting these standard gifts in a unique and memorable way. The good thing is that you don't have to spend any extra money on the wrapping! You just have to shop your own home with a creative eye. Here's what I pulled from around the house...
IDEA 1: Muff wine bag.
Embellish with vintage necklace (these are from Mimi-Toria's Designs)

IDEA 2: Necklace drink marker.
Just wrap the chain around the stem and fasten.

IDEA 3: Floral centerpiece in a vintage water bag tote.
Embellish with ribbon, faux berries, and a cow tag or ornament of some kind.

IDEA 4: Wine AND flowers in a vintage water bag tote.
Embellish with a unique glass piece and twine wrapped around the center. Use additional twine to add a hand-turned cork made by a local artisan.

I hope that you are inspired to get your gift-giving groove on! There are fabulous things around your home that can be used to add that special flair and make your host and hostess gifts sparkle. I look forward to seeing what ideas you come up with!
