Fireplace Makeover: Phase 4 (Paint)

Pin It Okay, here's where we've been so far...

After demolition, installation, and construction came PAINT...

Phase IV: Paint

We used the same white as the rest of the cabinetry and trim in the house: Behr Swiss Coffee. You'll notice that the doors from the cabinets are missing. At this stage, they were out having their center panels removed and glass installed. In the upcoming final reveal, you will also see crown molding, baseboard, a mantle, lighting, and the items that connect to all those wires!

Stay tuned for...
Phase V: The Reveal!

QUESTION FOR THE READER: In the ever-wise words of Niecy Nash..."Can you STAND to see more?"

  1. Oh yes, I am waiting for more. It is coming along so nicely. Great use of space.

We have a basic builder gas fireplace with brass trim, without a mantel, installed on a narrow wall and off center (yikes, it sounds awful.) Eleven years later, I still don't know what to do with it. I'm finding some inspiration in yours.

  7. Oh, I can definitely stand more.

I love the white against the ceiling. The finished product with the glass will be stunning, of that I'm sure.
