Hey, Halloweenies! I know. Halloween is two months away, but I woke up this morning with a brainstorm of an idea of what to do with these bad boys below...wooden garden edging that I found at a garage sale over a year ago...for like $1. Don't they look like little tombstones? Exactly!
GARDEN EDGING TURNED DECORATIVE MINI HALLOWEEN TOMBSTONE
SUPPLIES
- vintage wooden garden edging shaped like tombstone
- needle nose pliers with wire cutter
- DecoArt Stencil Paint in "shimmering silver"
- Norton Sanding Bug from Rockler Woodworking
- 1" foam brush from Rockler
- Gorilla Glue Precision Glue Pen
- PK Glitz glitter in "crystal"

STEP 1: Cut apart the wires connecting the garden edging using a wire cutter. I used the one built into my needle nose pliers. |

STEP 2: Using the foam brush from Rockler, paint the mini headstone with one coat of shimmering silver stencil paint. STEP 3: Distress the piece using the Norton Sanding Bug from Rockler. |
Check out the shimmer on that baby! I did not add any special effects. That is the PK Glitz glitter catching the morning sunlight!! Imagine it in candlelight!

STEP 6: For fun, I added a industrial light bulb cover over the top. |
