Here are some more quick changes that I made in the guest bath (oops! I mean spa!) recently.
The wall behind the door is a large expanse of white, so I thought I'd add some reflection, color, and texture.
Over the past couple years of junking and thrifting, I've come across some great original and very inexpensive pieces of art. The greens, browns, and touches of blue in these peaceful scenes are, well...peaceful! :)
Stacked together, the colors of each work well together. I love the rustic nature of the pieces. The canvases are rough around the edges and one even has a hole in the middle of it. All the more to love!
Teamed up with this round gesso mirror, the arrangement of the pieces work with the slope of the ceiling.
In addition to the "Spa" lettering on the door, I have another guest "spa" project to show you! Here's a hint: "Achoo!"
Awesome! That bathroom will fit in any spa. The Bavarian Christmas linky party is still open-won’t you come and join us at http://dobermans-by-the-sea.blogspot.com/2010/11/1st-christmas-linky-party-at-dobermans.html and while you are there join the give-a-ways going on.
ReplyDeleteI really like what you've done with the artwork. There's just something special about those pieces and the way you've put them together. Love your warm and inviting take on the "spa" look!
ReplyDeleteTis SPAliscious!!
ReplyDeleteOoh! I want a "spa" sign for my new bathroom!
ReplyDeleteI love how stacking them together makes them look modern.
