Okay, it's not really a spa, but a girl can dream, right? Last spring, we gave the guest bath a mini makeover by adding beadboard wallpaper and wood trim around the room. A coat of Swiss Coffee paint and a mix of earth tones gave it some cottage flair. See the mini makeover here.

By taking this blank door and adding some quick and easy Design Divas vinyl lettering, the guest bath was instantly transformed into a spa! {she says tongue-in-cheek} Don't you wish that were all it took? The fact is that this lettering matches the lettering recently added to our home gym entrance. A little whimsical typography to add interest to the plain white hallway doors!
While this room will clearly never be a spa, I can do some simple things to at least give it some spa-like characteristics. A lit candle and soft towels always help create a spa feeling. I also changed up the artwork in there and added another project not currently shown in these photos. You'll have to come back for those!
Stay tuned for more updates and projects!
Do you have any suggestions for making the guest bath a welcoming and functional place for guests?

I like to keep a basket with sample or hotel sized soaps, lotions and shampoos in the guest bath and in the guest bedroom small notepads, pens, a few books and a flashlight!

Your SPA sounds DIVINE & it looks as if you've pretty much thought of everything....One thing I DO love to see in the bathroom is GREAT soap....You know the French stuff....It's usually quite chunky & greyish brown in colour with poppy seeds or the like....And smells SENSATIONAL....OK....I'm off for a bath....hahahahaha....!
Hope you're having a MARVELLOUS week....!
Cheers for now,

Beeeautiful spa! What a cozy little place! I, too, love French type soaps, something to make the room smell nice (love Airwick warmers!), thick, luscious towels, and maybe a little pine bough draped over the towels for the holiday? :)
