ReplyDeleteI'm #50 and my project is Quilted Pillows in Denim and White. I am a follower and have your blog in my sidebar so I can keep up to date with each of your posts. My project number is 37. The abacus project represented step 2 of the home office decorative upgrade. Besides being beautifully formed caclulators, the abacus represents numbers. And both my partner and I work with numbers for a living. It's an appropriate reference to our professions. I subscribe to this blog through my wordpress subscriptions, that's the best way I've found to get updates. Thanks for hosting this big big link party, can't wait to look at all the creative projects! -Diane
ReplyDeleteHello I am number 72! And of course I posted the wrong link! The actual link is:

ReplyDeleteWe've had this TV stand for a few years now...a cheap piece from Target, and we have intentions of getting rid of it as soon as we have $$ to buy something else...BUT I came up with a quick solution that makes a world of difference to "de-clutter" and "pretty" up the piece! Sometimes it's the little things that make a big difference :)

What a wonderful linky party! Thanx for hosting!! My project is link #90 Kitchen Island Reveal. This project was started because we did not have a built in kitchen island and my in laws gave me their old one after remolding their kitchen. Thought it was already nice it did not fit in to our decor. I also wanted it to look built in or like a piece of furniture. Though it took awhile since it was done in stages I am sooo glad to finally have it done and enjoy it! Thanx again for hosting!

#106 Lampshade Nest
ReplyDeleteOk, if I'm being honest here, the real reason I did this project was to disguise a hole in a fabulous ratty old lampshade, and I happened to have some good supplies laying around to build a bird nest. A posh bird nest none the less.
If I need to sugar coat it, I'll say that I made this lampshade because I was looking to add a truly unique embellishment to an otherwise impaired antique shade so that I could could add an original piece of art to my living room to accomodate the new color changes. (How's that for putting a positive spin on a ripped shade? :) )
There are some really great projects linked up here
Oh yeah, I'm a subscriber here and a follower at The DIY Club. Enjoy your blog immensely. Was introduced to you throught the SYTYCD contest.

ReplyDeleteHi there!! Well, my cursor won't tell me what number my projects are, but so far I've posted the Farmhouse Chic cabinet, the Jute&Light lamp, and the mid-century modern danish desk re-do. To be honest, I've been stuck in the house all week due to the winter weather and I'm going a little stir crazy!! :) These projects have kept the cabin fever at a minimum. Thanks for hosting such a fun link-party! Oh, and I'm a follower.
ReplyDeleteIm # 113 the wood chest. I am a follower, and the reason I did this project was becasue I was wanting to paint something. I get this way every January.
ReplyDeleteHi I am Tonya from http://loveoffamilyandhome.blogspot.com and I am project #114. I did this project because I was sick of not having a home office space. I absolutely love my new space! I am a follower with google friends connect!
ReplyDeleteMy project is #119: How to create a Guest Suite in a 320 sq ft cottage. We are very limited on space, so this project was created out of necessity. We always have cousins or a stray sister coming to visit (Yay for sisters!) It is used as a bench/sofa during the day, and on demand we can turn it into a scrumptious bed, with fridge and pantry nearby for midnight snack attacks :)
ReplyDeleteThis project would work for others - in a reading nook, or a window seat, for example.
So I have done this:

I'm project #181 and I did the board and batten on the wall in our upstairs hallway to brighten that area up. It was a little dark and boring and now it's got a bright, cottage feel to it that I LOVE! And I'm a follower of your site!!
ReplyDeleteMe again! I also posted project #182 - the wood pallet-framed wardrobe mirror. I did this project because I wanted a luxurious yet rustic mirror for for a fraction of the price of one like this at retail - plus, none of the retail stores in my search had anything rustic and salvaged-looking like I wanted so I'm VERY happy with how this mirror turned out!
ReplyDeleteI've been a follower of your site for awhile now - love your work!
