All is "Grey-t" with a Vintage Greyhound Bus Sign

Did you get yesterday's hint about something "grey-t?" Well, if the title and photo above don't tip you off, then I don't know what will! This greyhound is one of my favorite vintage finds...ever, ever, ever!

It's traveled around the house over the past few years. Greyhounds like to be on the move, you know! It started out in the living can see it below in the reflection of the dining room mirror...

Then he traveled into the master bedroom for quite a lengthy stay there...

Then he moved into the guest room during its recent makeover...

I guess we never know when he'll be on the move next...

Thanks for coming along on the tour of the guest room. If you missed a post or four, check them out here, here, here, and here.

P.S. Contrary to what the sign says, the room is not actually for rent. Thought, if you call ahead, I might be able to make arrangements for you to stay awhile! I know the landlady!

  3. Excellent!.....smiles.

  4. That bedroom looks absolutely marvelous! You have done such a sweet job on it. I adore the chairs that are used for the bedside tables, the lamps are the perfect accompaniment and with that huge greyhound above it all! I love that greyhound, it is truly a treasure. Cute story about how the greyhound has traveled around your house, you sound like me, that what my pictures do around here, not sure why, but they never stay in one place.

  5. it looks awesome there!!!! i went to the grocery store to day to get c&b and they didn't have it, so i am heading to home depot tomorrow! i am going to be all cool and tell the cashier my friend is featured in it. oh yeah.

  6. What a cool, unique sign to decorate the room. It looks great!

  7. Ohhhhhh, the greyhound sign is FANTASTIC!! I could totally see that on our living room wall. Stunning! But as awesome as the sign is, it's nothing compared to the real dog in that pic up there. What a face! I must warn you, I'm a dog lover and I think I just fell in love with your dog. Awwwwwwwww.

  8. Well if it were for rent I'd be moving right in! I love that greyhound, he looks great in the guestroom.

  12. I'm in love with that Greyhound sign and will definitely be on the lookout for one as my son owns a fabulous greyhound named Stanley. And I love the picture with the "real" dog of the house! Ann

  13. If I had that greyhound sign it would certainly be one of my favorite pieces too!

I loved your article in "Cottages & Bungalows". What a beautiful home!

  14. Hi, love the greyhound sign! I live in the town where Greyhound originated so it's great to see someone use the sign as art. Thanks for sharing.
