The studio makeover continues! First the vintage medical cabinets, then the tole chandelier, now this...a vintage green and yellow chippy door turned coat/purse rack!
If you've read my blog for a while, you know I have a weakness for vintage doors (have you seen the master bedroom makeover?) and vintage hooks (have you seen my vintage mantle turned hat rack?). I mean, how can you not love the patina of a door like this? Look at that hinge!
And look how orderly those hooks are! The orderliness of the hooks is the perfect contradiction to the perfectly imperfect paint and rust on this door! It's vintage yumminess! And cost under $10 to make!
It's the perfect spot in my studio to hang my have-at-the-ready bags! I won the large square bag bag from Layla last year. The brown and patterned bag was a gift from my mother for Christmas. She sewed it herself, and it's reversible in more ways than one. So, it is actually like 3 bags in 1! The third bag is a vintage U.S. army training bag...it's for my hardcore junking days at the flea market!!
The studio makeover continues!
I wonder what that ladder is back there. Hmmm.
Guess you'll have to come back to see how it will be used! Bet you can't guess!

Nice! Do you coat your chippy stuff with anything to halt the chipping? I like the chippy look, but it seems like the chipping never stops. And that I don't like.
ReplyDeleteYou couldn't get that look if you tried,
ReplyDeleteOld is old. Very nice.

I adore that door and am drooling over those vintage wire hooks! I purchased some this winter to make a small hook rack for my kitchen - and I want to see more of those hooks in other rooms of my house!! :)

I love this! I found a door beside the road one time and took it home, my husband made fun of me for DAYS until I finally gave it away. I know, how did I give in! It was chipped paint, glass knob and all:(
