I keep thinking about what else can be turned into a chalkboard! After making my Stenciled Bird Candle Wrap using linen cloth tape last week, I wondered if it could be transformed into a chalkboard as well. Here's how I did it...
SUPPLIES
- Craft paper
- Self adhesive linen cloth tape
- Scissors
- Americana Chalkboard Paint from DecoArt
- Foam brush from Rockler
- Chalk
- Bag of Rags from Rockler
I started by putting down some craft paper to create a work surface. I then simply cut off a length of linen tape and used a foam brush to apply the paint to the tape.
After it dried, I used the long side of a piece of chalk to prime the surface and then use a rag from the Bag of Rags to wipe off the chalk.
