What Could You Do with a Cordomatic Clothesline?

The WWC blog is full of junk finds recently!
...and now this: a vintage Cordomatic Clothesline. The blue and metal finishes are a fun combination!

I haven't decided how to use it yet. I've considered actually using it as a clothesline when we redo our entry/laundry room OR I've thought it might be cool used in place of a drapery rod. Wouldn't it look grand with a pair of crisp white linen sheers hanging from it? Any other ideas for it?

  1. i LOVE it!!! i would probably use it as a clothesline because it would fit perfectly in our laundry room.....
it would also be cute to hang kids artwork on!

  2. You are hitting the jackpot lately. You could hang it in your new office/workspace and hang fabrics on it or use clothespins to clip ideas, photos, etc. from it. Can't wait to see what you decide to do with it.

  3. How about an impromtu room divider, with colorful fabric hung from it. Don't you just love other's junk?

  4. There are days I'd like to pull something like that tight round my hubby's neck...oh...wait...did I say that? I think it would look grand with the curtains! What a cute idea! Also be fun to string outside with a banner on it somehow. Hugs- Diana

  5. You could hang it in your work room/office with some photos or old maps or sheet music etc. clipped to it. Or in a laundry or any room really with vintage small linens. It is a lovely piece. Great find.

  6. You should replace the string with wire and use it to slice cheese. Just pull out and slice.

  7. Put on wall and with old clothespins, hand up vintage and current photos!!

  8. ....hahahahahaSNORT....Sorry I'm chuckling over Diana's comment....hmmmmm....I'd go with a clothesline or use it to display notes, pics & Moos.... :o) !!

  9. Love the idea of using it in the Laundry room but I agree in your office with inspirational pictures would be fun!

Can't wait to see your brilliant use!

  10. Nice!
Yep, the first thing I thought of was clipping pics or drawings to it.

Or, I suppose you could hang scarves on it - or hang tomorrows outfit on it.

  11. Oh wow!.. I have the modern and not near so sexy version of this made of plastic. But I will say it is an excellent clothes line when needed and then zip.. away it goes. We use it down by the pool when we have extra towels to dry since the towels do not do well hanging on the fence.. they dry much faster on the line. So my vote.. by the pool!
