I was walking through the woods a few weeks ago. Enjoying the autumn weather...the crisp breeze, the fallen leaves, the swaying trees. As I walked, I noticed these bunches of pine needles that had fallen along the path. I had never noticed their beauty before and was inspired by their uniqueness on that day. I started collecting handfuls of them.
When I arrived home and saw this vintage flour sifter that I had found on my junking adventures a few weeks back, I wondered...
How about a simple arrangement? Like, super simple!
The green, red, and white have a holiday feel to me! As the first snow fell here in northern Minnesota last night, it truly is "beginning to feel a lot like Christmas" around these parts. Are you ready for the holiday season?
Hi Amy! I totally agree that the pine needles in the sifter are just perfect. What a sweet and simple Christmas statement.
ReplyDeleteHope you are doing well.
What an awesome idea Amy! I have 7 acres of pine trees :) But darn I just took a wonderful old sifter to a shop with a price tag on it...dare I hope no one sees the beauty in it!!

PS you can keep the snow, we had a bit that melted last week, glad it's gone :)
Very cute idea. Thanks for the inspiration:)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea- What fun to see items used for one thing- turn into something else!

Hi Amy, I love your simple arrangement with the pine needles. I am starting to get in the Christmas mood. We haven't had any snow here in SW Minnesota and I hope we don't for awhile.
