Sneak Peek at My First Projects of the Year

What have you been working on so far this year? I've been working on a lot of down-time and relaxation over the past week. I needed it...desperately! For me, that means hermit-like living, working out, and doing or not doing whatever it is I want or don't want to do. Love it!

Today I actually left the house (shock!) and went to see a movie with a neighbor. The movie was "The Descendants" with George Clooney. It was filmed in Hawaii, and anything Hawaii-related instantly has my attention! I loved the scenes shot in Hanalei Bay on of the best spots in the world, people! Both photos above are from my trip to Kauai last August. The movie is not what I expected, but it is definitely worth a viewing. Be might cry.

While I have been hibernating the past week, I've been coming up with all kinds of new projects. Ron has been working on one of brainstorms. Here's a hint...

The second project is one that I actually started last fall but did not have time to complete until now. I'm not giving any more details for now, so I hope you'll come back to see it...

I'm planning to have both projects done in time for the 1st Project of the Year Party, which starts next Thursday! {squeal!}...Am I too old to squeal? Oh, well, that's how excited I am about this party!! Why? Read on...

2012 marks the second annual 1st Project of the Year Party!! I'm so thrilled to share this opportunity for you to be involved with two of my favorite DIY resources: Rockler and Cottages & Bungalows Magazine. 2. What a great idea for a party! I am planning on going to take my dad to see that movie this weekend. I went to see Girl with the Dragon Tattoo last weekend, very brutal! And yes anything with Hawaii and I am there!

  3. What a gorgeous picture that first one is, Amy. Oh this is going to be fun. I have so many things I am working on, I have to focus. Hmmmnn I wonder what it is you gave us a peek at. Something industrial and interesting?
