Vintage Campaign Dresser Comes to the Cottage

Lookie what I found this weekend! Isn't she a beaut? I've been drooling over campaign furniture for a couple years now. Finally, I found a vintage campaign dresser for the cottage!

Why would I want a campaign dresser? Check out my Campaign Furniture pinboard on Pinterest...

Aren't they gorgeous? They are the perfect inspirations for figuring out what I'll be doing with my beautiful dresser. It definitely needs some freshening up! It might not get painted until the spring/summer, but that doesn't mean I can plan ahead!

If this were your dresser, what room would you use it in and what color would you paint it?

P.S. Tomorrow, I'll show you where I currently have it!

P.P.S. Do any of you have a campaign dresser pinboard? If so, please let me know! I'd love to follow it!

  1. if i were to put it in my guestroom i would paint it a dark navy blue, but if i were to put it in my room i would paint it weddgewood gray by ben moore. i painted one that color last summer and it was just before we moved so i sold it and i regret it!!!! i loved that piece!!!!!! yours is a great size to even use as a sideboard. awesome score, amy!

  2. I am sooooooooooo jealous! I <3 campaign dressers!!!!!! I don't have a specific campaign board but a ton of my pinned furniture is campaign dressers.

I can't wait to see what you do with it!

  3. Love it, Amy! What great inspiration on your pin board. Love it when there's multiple colors used. Can't wait to see where you're going to use it! Following you on LF now.

  4. Ooh. Great find!!! Hmmm. I'd use it in my family room and paint it pure white. I know, I live on the edge. :) I'd also use some Silver Rub n' Buff on the brass but only because I have a crush on silver in my home. The aged brass is otherwise gorgeous.

  5. What a great find! That's great. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!!

  6. Oh, it's supercool! Although it's not a really creative idea, I would use it in the bedroom as a dresser. I like it white but I also like the pic of the one with different color drawers. It would look good two-toned too (maybe nautical blue and white or a pale grey and white). Can't wait to see what you do with it.

  7. I like it like it is! Or maybe brighter white or French Grey or...too many choices! ;-)

  8. Doesn't your heart go pitter pat when you find that piece you've been longing for?! I can't wait to see what you do with it!
