One of my favorite pieces in the kitchen renovation is this reclaimed hardwood display cabinet.
It replaced...

...this pair of laminated cabinet towers (photo above),
which previously and unsuccessfully served as our main pantry area.
We are using it to store and display our glassware and textiles.
It needs some attention in the styling area, but it's a start! :)
It has this great French reproduction hardware. The grey finish is stunning!
We purchased the "Barnsley Cabinet" from Hom Furniture. Above is the photo from their website. You can see that the photo shows it as a much more "natural" finish than a grey. Since I saw it in person first, I knew what I was getting.
THE INSPIRATION
In choosing this option, my kitchen pinterest board was very helpful. Can you see how my inspiration photos were translated into selecting this cabinet to meet our needs?

It's beautiful! I think it is styled well and it is functional too!
ReplyDeleteI have a closed armoire in the dining area open to the small kitchen. I love it, but I'm storing a lot of items, so it hides the disorder inside!
The white one with the flowers? Something beautiful to hide the chaos. :)
Deletelove all the inspiration you showed, but I love your cabinet the best!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anne!

Oh it is so beautiful!! I love the grey on it, and I'd love to find a piece like that. Wow, what a statement!
